Untitled

In the test of humility you have passed so,
If You are art I am Picasso,
If beauty was a word, you are a discussion,
You disrupt me and I you,
I eye you,
Ay ay you!!ohhh my captain!
Immune to this ugly world for you took beauty shots,
let’s play connect the dots with your beauty spots,
I want rumours of our love to spread through the whole city,
I want to leave “fireflies” in your tummy like we are from “owl city”
Slavery is in my ancestry so I am good with my hands,
You are popular with my DNA strands,
That with each and every erotic occasion, a specific organ offers you a standing ovation,
I only see our love for you are my lens and I am short sighted,
Lust from first sight, my hormones were ig-nited,
Let us exchange secrets in the dark like the moon and the stars,
I am earth and like the moon, you are my star,
I am just a poet; I try to make words rhyme,
I try to make fun times,
I try to make colours rhyme,
But you remain a spectrum of unrivaled complexity,
An element of unmatched perplexity,
Listen to me closely,
I try to praise you with these two liners,
If this world is gold then we are two minors,
Ohhhh! Forgot we are over 18!
Thank you!!!!

School Bell Rings

                                          The school bell rings,
New assignment, due next week; Rule the World,
I rise above tears of the fallen slaves,
Waves, cycling to the calling caves,
                                         Graves, hollow and scary, saves,
                                                           My throne,
                                                       Ruler of verity,
                                                    Bringer of serenity,
I am your king, CROWN ME.

They paint pictures with a thousand words,
But I give you a thousand words,
                                                     Get the picture????
I preach to you with a thousand verses,
                                                     Get the scriptures???
Dark clouds gather, Gotham sleeps, Metropolis trembles,
My empire state of mind rules, New York City assembles,
I write to calm fear but my words strike hate,
Taking me through curves and loops like the number 8,
So when Adelle set fire to the rain and became so tense,
I stabbed the elf, stole the gold and burnt down the rainbow to clear the evidence.
They call it ego, but I thrive in a dirty love triangle,

                                                        Me myself and I,
                                                   My heart is jailbroken,
Steve Jobs, Rest in Peace,
it broke out of its prison, I call my rib cage,
tore my lungs out to To express its artistry,
Harry Houdini…
So when I die, Only burry me six feet under,
Before you tell them I was down to earth,

tell them I was a righteous man,
Tell them to praise this poem,
Remind them how this poem was hot, how it set fire on stage,
How This poem is a merciless leviathan
Attempting to row the mighty seas and internal thunder pleas,
I dream to conjure up these, so that my ambition breaks the violent thunder breeze,
I bow, Kanye, Power Clap,
I freeze, Snow White, Power Nap,
I pant, Forest Gump, Power Lap,
This poem is an epigram,
A villanelle,
And I the ruler,
So I soothe its subjects to make love to its predicates,
Hence my words wet,
Satisfaction, as I soothe its hyacinth hair, kiss its luring lips,
Softly caressing its tender  hips, trips on it, grips on it,
Let it show later scars ,
From  my similes and metaphors ,

This is what the storm holds beneath its wings,
And if it is not over until the fat lady sings,
Ill wait to hear what this beautiful melody has to bring ,
To spin, into me so that I write in the darkest of nights, show my might in the mightiest of fights, let summer fall in this spring, and bounce to wipe the skies with salt and paper so that my season’ning will make life taste a little better,
But for now, remember im just a young king,
Who marked a smile with a razor on a joker’s face,
And asked him why so serious??

A BLUE HEART: JOY'S STORY

Greetings fellow earthlings,
Eight months ago, I would admit that I was among the many ignorant Kenyans
when it came to issues of child and human trafficking in Kenya. This changed suddenly when I received a call from a very talented poet and event organizer, Bernard Muhia who also runs a website www.bernardmuhia.com (catalogs his projects). He wanted me to collaborate with Jaju (a brilliant female poet) and Daddie Marto (Martin Githinji, a renowned theatre performer, entertainer and by far my favourite comedian in kenya) to visit highschools and create awareness with respect to Child and Human Trafficking via poetry and comedy. A projected termed as Fern Poetry. This went on successfully and below in one of the pieces i composed.

I am a guest poet visiting,
talking about human trafficking,
A painful thing for many but me,
I know you're wondering why but, see, You see what I have read I've said,
When I've led,ive made people see the inner essence of knowledge, that no wage increase
For teachers can page in life's scriptures!!! Features of homeless children snuck out the country, beaten, starved, the weak butchered every week to feed selfless individuals, Who own vast plantations,
I wish I could just plant stations of mass destruction and annihilate them but that's me, quite unprofessional and truthfully out of my reach, but what should we do??????
Read...read like those lives depend on us!! Read like we are their last hope for salvation,
Read like it is our blood bonded brothers and sisters affected,
Read like if we all don't read then we will all suffer the same fate!! You think I don't share the misery??? I bleed this pain with them like our veins were slit and optically connected!!
Carefully selected are our mothers and sisters sold to prostitution obviously against the constitution offering contribution to sexual slavery and distribution of money to their so called owners a.k.a pimps a.k.a culprits born to rot in the dip pits of hell
And abyss of torture!!! With their deep feet covered with lava!!!I would like to see how their deep pits or rather pockets of worthless paper will take them out of this situation filled with moral degradation. Who are their targets????
Young boys and girls snatched out of their ignorant mothers care who had apparently no idea we live in a dangerous world.
Young men and women starving in the streets convinced of a happier life only to be battered and kidneys sold to India where suddenly "it is more deserved" Funny how!!!
But If we read, if we acquire the right knowledge,
The ignorant mother would know better, The children will know where it is safe to go,
The street dwellers would have enough knowledge to keep them from joblessness and unnecessary struggle!!
We would significantly reduce cases of child and human trafficking let us read!!! Let's us read!!! Let us,.,,,,,,,,,,, read!!! We know this is happening but we are not directly affected just like we can't see air but we know the wind blows!!!
But what if that typhoon hits your home??? And one of your own is abducted by those tycoons?? Let us read!!! Let us read!!!

Now, Fern Poetry has gone a step further and collaborated with Africa Sanaelimu to bring you,

A BLUE HEART: JOY'S STORY

A Blue Heart: Joy's Story is a play about Human Trafficking, coming to Kenya National Theatre on 24th March and at the Braeburn Theatre on 8th March 2012
Description
Fern Poetry and the Africa Sanaelimu art Ensemble have come together to develop a play titled ‘A Blue Heart; Joy’s story, to create awareness on human trafficking. The play is about Joy, a young girl who goes to live with her aunt after her parent’s unfortunate demise, giving birth to a gripping saga. A Blue Heart; Joy’s story brings together narration, poetry, music and dance. Bernard Muhia from Fern Poetry has written the poems in the play while Mike Kasongo from Africa Sanaelimu Art Ensemble has choreographed the dances and the music. The music is from traditional African drums beaten to a perfect rhythm to reflect the various moods of the play.

This play has been featured on the United Nations website http://www.ungift.org/knowledgehub/stories/february2012/blue-heart-campaign-inspiring-artists-in-kenya.html This play has been created following research done by KARDS (Koinonia Advisory Research and Development Services) in 2009 on the proliferation of human trafficking in East Africa. KARDS is also collaborating in the production process. We are searching for other partners to join us in this noble effort. Written by Luiz Nzomo, a locally based playwright, A Blue Heart; Joy’s story is going to be performed at the Kenya National Theater on 24th March and at the Braeburn Theater on 8th March 2012, as well as in high schools and social/community halls. Check posters for more details or email kenyablueheart@gmail.com or go to http://www.bernardmuhia.com/and http://sanalimu.org/

Charges are Kshs. 200 for students with School ID and Kshs. 500 for Adults. For tickets kindly call Noella on 0720302364 or El Poet on 0700393931. 5% of proceeds go to Kenya Red Cross and another 5% goes towards creating more awareness in informal schools.

The title is inspired by the Blue Heart Campaign against Human Trafficking launched by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) which is mandated to create awareness on human trafficking. UNODC is also working to make the ‘blue heart’ an international symbol for human trafficking. The United Nations defines human trafficking as “The recruitment, transportation, transfer, harbouring or receipt of persons, by means of the threat or use of force or other forms of coercion, of abduction, of fraud, of deception, of the abuse of power or of a position of vulnerability or of the giving or receiving of payments or benefits to achieve the consent of a person having control over another person, for the purpose of exploitation".

MPD - Embraced

You see,me times is just for me,until i am misunderstood,
but misunderstanding shouldnt be explained.
More like who put a ring on Saturn with all the single planets,
who was the pedro at the wedding?
Was Pluto played?to seclude himself that far?
Why is Venus associated with women and mars with men?
I bet most of We-Men,
would prefer being Neptunes,why?
Simple, they make good beats and best of all,
they float next to Ur-anus,
so that we can kick your ass anytime,

back to me,religion has a big slice of my being,
it guides my superiority neglecting the fact that I am not the staunch-est of followers,
poetry goes beyond nursery rhymes,
though i composed them during nursery times,
and among my nursery crimes,
i never slept in the afternoon, but admired the nursery dimes,
what?yeah, why you surprized i had game even when i was 5years old,
i used to whisper sweet uniqueness,
more like, ''hey, when you lie down facing up,the ceiling blushes''
then their armour crushes,
flashes of brilliance of a nursery kid,
rared like a nursery seed,
your surprized?dont be...you've seen the eclipse, the wonders of the world, tsunami, hurricanes?right?
Dont be stunned at me,
i know of a she-friend who used to seduce boys and had sex with them at just 10years in primary,
im not saying i fell victim, but hey,YOU NEVER KNOW,

i am divided into Akil,Elpoet and Ahmed...
You see,Akil is the brains and that cocky dude you bump into, especially if you are a hot girl or one of my close friend,
Elpoet is just a wussy character that Ahmed brought into the picture because apart from being a computer wizz,he could also rhyme,so,
why serve two masters at a time when you can cell-divide your personna in this artistic world.
Ahmed-the bright shy boy, witty but too soft and weak,i had to kill this dude,i stabbed him in the belly and jerked the blade up!
But somehow, his ghost still haunts me,
and was just recently very influencial in deciding a very important dillema,
its always about girls right?

I pity the people who suffer the wrath of Akil,Elpoet and Ahmed at the sametime,
like someone,no naming him/her,again just recently,
how awful is that,a cocky, heartless, remoarseless liar,a wussy poet and a vengeful, weak, soft ghost all up your ass,
they say vengence makes a mammoth out of a mouse,so you feel my pity right?
